Register to Compete in Kayak, Canoe or SUP Classes on Sept 8th

The race will occur on the Mississippi River Alton Pool formed by the Mel Price Lock and Dam, located upriver from the city of Saint Louis at Riverlands. Solo racers will navigate a 6 mile loop. SUP racers will navigate a 3 mile loop.

Cancellation
Due to predicted storm on September 8th with rain, high winds, and lightning, the race has been cancelled.  Race could not be delayed until September 15th due to predicted river level being at or above flood stage.  See you in 2019!

3 miles total, 1.5 miles up and back
Kayak and Canoe Racers
6 miles total, 3 miles up and back

Proceeds & Registration
The Firecracker Race serves as a fundraiser for the Mississippi River Water Trail Association and funds raised will be used to help increase recreational access to the Mississippi River.
